The Club

Welcome to the Sailing Club of Portugal, we hope you enjoy our website. 

Our Club was established in 1982 by a number of enthusiastic people interested in sailing.

In 1991 the Government of Portugal recognized the Sailing Club of Portugal as a Public Utility Organization.

We are a quite and informal club dedicated to providing a family atmosphere and the enjoyment of sailing in all forms.

The Sailing Club of Portugal is a participatory club with cruising, fun sailing, racing, sail training and other sailing related activities which appeal to sailors of different skills, experience, and interests.

The club is open to all, regardless of age and ability and our junior sections has a warm welcome for youngsters who wish to learn to sail or who are experienced sailors and would like to become involved with an active club.

Mission Statement

The purpose of our organization is to encourage the sport of sailing.

To promote the science of seamanship & navigation.

To sponsor, races and instructional classes.

And to foster a spirit of cooperation and good fellowship.

Youth sailing and adult classes are offered throughout the year to the community.

Community

As a part of our commitment to our friends and neighbors, we pride ourselves on our active community involvement.

We believe it is important for all people to give back to their community in ways that best fit their lives.
